The Case Overview (navigation item Cases) is the dashboard’s home page: a table of all of the firm’s cases. From here you search and filter cases, create new ones, and click the case number to jump into the corresponding case file.
Simple search & quick filters
| Element | Function |
|---|---|
| Search | Full-text search across case number, case title, and other fields. |
| Quick filters | ready-made filter buttons such as All active cases without opposing party, … without follow-up, or … without follow-up and without active workflow — ideal for spotting cases that have fallen through the cracks. |
| Column filters | the Status and Assignee columns carry a filter icon for targeted narrowing. |
| Reset filters | restores the complete list. |
Advanced search: case tag/placeholder search
If the simple search isn’t enough, use the toggle next to the search bar to switch on advanced search. It opens a full condition builder — the same logic as in the Excel report — turning the case overview into a standalone research tool built on tags and placeholders:
The structure is identical to the condition block of the Excel report:
| Field type | Searches for |
|---|---|
| Tag | the case hashtag – Field = Tag, Operation (e.g. equals), Value = the hashtag you’re looking for. |
| Text placeholder | a specific placeholder value of the case – in addition to operation and value, you specify the placeholder’s key here. |
You combine multiple conditions with AND/OR; use Subgroup to build nested logic (e.g. Tag = urgent AND (Placeholder X = A OR Placeholder X = B)). Condition adds another row, Reset clears the filter, Search applies it to the table.
Columns & view
Use Manage columns to show or hide columns and reorder them. Save configuration makes DEPLAW remember your view for the next visit; Reset columns restores the default view.
