Many workflows don’t run through fully automatically – at certain points a human decision is required: confirming a deadline, reviewing a document, granting an approval. Such points are user tasks. The Workflow section in the dashboard collects all user tasks pending across cases in one place – the central, cross-case view of human in the loop: wherever a workflow is waiting on a person, an entry appears here.

The columns

Column Content
Case number / Case title / Case description the case the task belongs to.
Title the name of the user task, as defined in the workflow (e.g. confirm deadline, review document).
Started on when the task arose in the workflow.
Assigned staff member the responsible person – taken from the case’s assignee, not assigned separately per task.

You can filter specifically using the list itself, the search, and the assigned staff member – most importantly, All my workflow tasks: since the assigned staff member comes from the case, this lets you show, with one click, exactly the user tasks pending for you, and work through them in order. Clicking the row or the case number takes you into the case, where you complete the task – after which the workflow continues automatically.
