In the Letterhead & Document Editor (Settings → Templates), you set up your firm’s letterhead. Documents you create via the internal editor automatically take on the configured letterhead – including all spacing and layout settings. This way, all outgoing documents look consistent, without you having to touch the layout for every letter.
Managing letterheads
- + Add letterhead uploads a new letterhead.
- Each entry has a name, a tag (for assignment, e.g. by brand/client origin), and the flag default letterhead (
true/false). - The letterhead marked as default is used for new documents; using multiple letterheads lets you represent, for example, different brands or locations.
The letterhead editor
Clicking a letterhead opens the editor: settings on the left, a live preview of a sample letter on the right, showing every change immediately.
The individual settings:
- Upload letterheads – upload the letterhead image/PDF (logo, footer). Default letterhead marks this one as the default for new documents.
- Third page – in addition to the letterhead, you can upload a third page that’s automatically appended as the last page of every letter created with this letterhead – for example for details about partners, locations, or similar mandatory notices that shouldn’t appear on every page, only at the end of the document.
- Return address – the small line above the address field (for windowed envelopes).
- Margins [mm] – left, right, top, bottom in millimeters. The wide right margin (75 mm in the example) keeps the right-hand info column clear.
- Address top offset [mm] – how far the address field starts from the top edge. This value is critical for the address to sit exactly within the viewing window of a standard envelope.
- Fonts – separately selectable for address, subject, flex box, and content.
Flex boxes: freely positionable content blocks
Beyond the fixed areas, flex boxes let you place your own text blocks freely on the page – for example the info column on the right (case number/date/phone), the place/date line, or a footer note. Each box uses placeholders to insert case-specific data (e.g. “Wuppertal, den {{DOKUMENT_DATUM}}”).
For each flex box, you set:
- Enabled – shows or hides the box in the document.
- X-position / Y-position [mm] – the exact location on the page (measured from the top left).
- Content (required) – the text of the box, including placeholders and
{{=FEEL}}expressions. - Font size [pt] – the font size of this box.
