Structured data points are the foundation of every automation in DEPLAW — captured manually, filled in via a form, calculated in a workflow, or extracted from documents by AI. Once captured, usable everywhere in the process.
A data point is the smallest automatable building block of a case file — a word, a number, a date, but also an entire paragraph or a table. Once captured, it is available throughout the entire case file: for deadline calculation, workflow decisions, templates, and reports.
AI extraction from documents
AI can extract data points fully automatically from a single document, a document group, or the entire case file. In doing so, DEPLAW combines the autonomy of AI in identifying predefined data points with professionally validated automation — precise, scalable, and reproducible. Documents are simultaneously made searchable via OCR and classified by type, area of law, and parties involved.
Data points in deadlines, workflows, and templates
Based on data points, DEPLAW automatically calculates deadlines — for example, the statute of limitations from a purchase date, or the objection deadline from the delivery date of a fine notice. Combined data points automatically assess a matter’s prospects of success, and if-then conditions in workflows then decide which follow-up process gets triggered. Templates also draw on data points: text blocks only appear when a stored value meets a specific condition.
