Legal Data Tech

Technology

How DEPLAW works under the hood.

A legal-tech platform, thought of in layers: from BPMN workflows through AI and RAG to the Kubernetes infrastructure that carries thousands of parallel proceedings — every layer traceable down to the individual step.

Further technical foundations

Fully integrated, not just connected.

Interfaces & Communication

beA, eBO, email, fax, mail and telephony all run through the same central inbox — with the same automation rules across every channel.

Interfaces in detail →

Access Control

Access rights can be controlled granularly per data category — the same case file can be shared between law firms, legal departments and call centers without duplicate data storage.

Security & Traceability

Every action — automated or manual — is logged immutably in the case history. Compliance is part of the architecture, not a downstream filter.

Common technical questions

Can we import existing BPMN processes?

Yes. Processes can be developed, imported and versioned externally — DEPLAW uses the cross-industry BPMN 2.0 standard.

Does personal data leave the platform?

No. Data is pseudonymized before every external model request; the result is only merged back into the case context afterward. Local models can be integrated. See Artificial Intelligence for details.

How does the system scale across thousands of parallel proceedings?

The platform runs on a Kubernetes infrastructure in Germany; the same workflow is executed independently per case and scaled horizontally.

Does the rollout require an IT department?

Not for process modeling. Existing data and case files are migrated during onboarding; a team of project managers, developers and lawyers supports enterprise projects.
