Case File & Inbox
Telephony
Every incoming call automatically runs a reverse lookup across millions of stored contacts – caller, role, and matching case file are known before the phone is picked up. The phone system runs entirely in the browser, with no extra software or separate interface.
Unlike a separate softphone or plain call forwarding, telephony at DEPLAW is fully integrated into the platform on a technical level: incoming calls trigger the same reverse lookup used for party data, and – just like in the central inbox – automatically land in the case history of the matching matter.
Reverse lookup across millions of contacts
For every incoming call, DEPLAW checks the number in real time against all stored contacts – clients, opposing parties, courts, and authorities alike. The search across several million records takes well under a second. If there’s a match, the caseworker immediately sees the caller’s name and role, before the call is even answered. If several cases are linked to the same number, a selection appears showing status and last activity for each case – one click is enough to open the right case file.
Compatible with any common SIP provider
The phone system itself remains a browser softphone at DEPLAW, with no installation and no separate additional software required. Instead of dedicated infrastructure, you simply set up an extension with an existing SIP provider – such as 3CX, Placetel, Sipgate, or another common provider – and enter the credentials in DEPLAW. From the first login, the extension is connected and ready to use, fully interlinked with the case file, workflow, and case history in a single window.
Call history instead of scattered notes
Every call is automatically logged in the call history, including duration and the linked case file. At a glance, you can see which calls already have a call note and which are still missing one – filtered by today’s calls, all calls, open notes, or missed calls. A call note lands directly in the case history and is therefore immediately visible and workflow-ready for everyone involved in a case, instead of disappearing into a separate call log.
