The Booking Balances view answers a question left open in the Booking Account view: which case holds which balance on a given general ledger account? You select an account – say, client funds (escrow) – and see the balance per case. The purpose of this overview is to quickly surface the cases with an open balance that need correcting – instead of going through every case individually, you see at a glance where money still needs to be paid out, offset, or booked.

How to read the balances

  1. Choose an accounting organization

Determines which accounting organization the balances come from.

  2. Choose a general ledger account

The table only fills in once you select a general ledger account (e.g. client funds) – without an account it stays empty.

  3. Check balances per case

The table shows Case, Case title, Balance, and Status. Filter by status to see, for example, only cases with an open balance.
