The Excel report is DEPLAW’s built-in spreadsheet export. Where the Analytics Dashboard gives you quick visual orientation, the Excel report delivers reliable case data you can process further – as an actual Excel file, with exactly the columns and exactly the case selection you need. The centerpiece is reusable report templates: you define once which cases (via conditions) get exported with which columns (via placeholders), save that as a template, and pull up the same report at the click of a button from then on.

You start the export on Settings → Statistics → Analytics via the two buttons below the time range:

The Custom Export

The Custom Export dialog consists of three blocks: time period, conditions (which cases), and displayed placeholders (which columns).

1. Time period

Start date and end date determine which cases flow into the report – as in the Analytics Dashboard, what matters is the creation date of the case file.

2. Conditions – which cases get exported

Under Required case tag/placeholder search, you filter the set of cases. Each condition consists of three parts:

Part Meaning
Field what you’re filtering by – a tag (case hashtag) or a placeholder of the case.
Operation the comparison, e.g. equals.
Value the comparison value being checked against.

Multiple conditions are combined via the link type:

  • AND – a case must satisfy all conditions (narrow filter).
  • OR – a case must satisfy at least one condition (broad filter).

Condition adds another row, Subgroup adds a nested group with its own AND/OR link – this lets you model even complex logic (e.g., practice area = traffic law AND (tag = urgent OR tag = due)). Reset clears the conditions again.

3. Displayed placeholders – which columns the report has

Under Displayed placeholders, you determine the columns of the Excel table. Enter the name of a placeholder and confirm with Add – each added placeholder appears as its own card with a Delete option and becomes a column in the export. The placeholder keys follow the case file’s own system, e.g.:

Placeholder Column content
VERFAHREN_AKTENZEICHEN case reference number
VERFAHREN_GERICHT competent court
VERFAHREN_VERFAHREN_DATUM proceeding date
ALLGEMEIN_RECHTSGEBIET practice area of the case

This way you export exactly the data points your report needs – and nothing more.

4. Save & export

  1. Export

Immediately generates the Excel file with the current configuration and downloads it.

  2. Save as template

Saves the conditions and placeholder columns under a name as a report template. Next time, you select the template at the top, adjust only the time period, and export – ideal for recurring reporting (monthly, quarterly, per-client analysis).
