The Invoices tab contains all invoices for the case and lets you create new ones — either freely or based on a template. Each invoice can then be transferred as an accounts-receivable entry into the booking account, so incoming payments are matched automatically.
The invoice list
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Invoice number / Invoice date | Identifier and date of issue |
| Description | Subject of the invoice |
| Service date | Billed service period |
| Recipient | Invoice addressee |
| Net total / Gross total | Amounts excluding/including VAT |
| Paid | Amount already settled |
| Note | Free-text note |
| Accounts-receivable entry exists | Whether the invoice is booked in the booking account |
Below the list, use Manage columns / Reset columns to adjust the view, save it with Save configuration, and page through longer lists with Entries per page.
Creating a new invoice
Click + New invoice. The invoice form opens directly in the list as an expandable row (“not saved”). Use Discard to cancel without saving.
Fill in the fields:
- Type (required) – the kind of invoice.
- Invoice number range – which number range the invoice number is drawn from (defined under Finance › Invoice Number Range).
- Recipient (required) – the invoice addressee; selectable from the case file’s participants.
- Service date – the billed period.
- Note – optional text that appears on the invoice.
- Line items – the individual invoice items with description, quantity, and unit price; DEPLAW calculates the net and gross totals from these.
Clicking Save creates the invoice and assigns it a number from the number range.
New from template
+ New from template takes a prepared invoice template, including its line items, as a starting point — ideal for recurring billing that you just need to adjust.
